It was a great day out
for athletes from St Mary's. Mary Bohanna won 2 Gold medals
in the Junior Hammer and Javelin events setting a new Championship Record in
the Hammer. It was gold also for Jennifer Bohanna in the Minor Javelin and a
Minor Silver was won by Shannen Dawkins in the 75m Hurdles. Our fourth athlete
competing was Hannah Murphy in the Junior High Jump in a closely fought
competition, that saw the first 5 athletes with only one height, between them
Hannah took 5th place on a count back. Well done to all.

News May 14th 2010
It has been a busy week for our Minor Football and Camogie teams, especially
for the dual players.
On Tuesday the Minor Camogie team travelled to Birr for their Leinster semi
final. The journey itself was a trial for many arriving in Birr already worn.
In a match that saw our girls battle for form their second half performance was
a credit to them - and a relief to their mentors on the sidelines. And so we
head to Skeoghvosteen next Monday to meet Presentation Kilkenny in the Minor
Leinster Camogie Final.
On Thursday it was the turn of
the Minor football team and not to be out done they returned from Tallaght
victorious. (5-10 to 3-3). Their next outing will be next Tuesday when they too
will contest their Leinster Final.
Badminton News Feb
2010
Congratulations to Louise
Bennett, Gemma Creane, Emily Kent and Siobhan Creane on their recent
performance in the Leinster School's Badminton Finals. Following great
individual and doubles performances the girls had to endure the toughest of
defeats - both teams were equal on victories but the St. Mary's team lost out
on points. Well done to all involved.
